Veronica L. Thomas, Ph.D.
Welcome!
I am an Associate Professor of Marketing at Old Dominion University, specializing in marketing research methods and consumer psychology. My research examines the dynamics of social influence on consumer behavior, exploring how psychological and social factors drive decision-making processes.
My work investigates consumer behavior across diverse contexts—including secrecy, social media environments, and sales interactions—to uncover the underlying mechanisms that govern human decision-making and market dynamics. In doing so, my research team and I are able to generate actionable insights that bridge theoretical understanding with practical applications. My hope is that these insights advance academic theory, inform industry practice, and enhance my students’ learning experience.
